This evening I had a wonderful time speaking with members of the New England Botanical Club. The club was founded in 1895 and the botanists in the society were stuck listening to me chatter on about passionflowers…and they don’t even grow naturally in New England.  The meeting was held at The Garden in the Woods in Framingham, MA, which is owned by the New England Wildflower Society.  The New England Wildflower Society is America’s oldest plant conservation organization and is very active – check out Go Botany.  If you are interested in the flora of New England, you should join the NEBC and the New England Wildflower Society.
